DESCRIPTION:Michigan EIBC is excited to welcome our members\, Michigan legislators and state officials\, and the general public to our 11th Annual Michigan Energy Innovators Gala on September 27\, 2023 at The Eastern in Detroit. Gala is a wonderful opportunity to network with colleagues\, policymakers\, and industry experts\, all while celebrating the individuals and businesses who succeeded in growing Michigan’s advanced energy sector. \nWe are honored to have Shalanda Baker\, Director of the Office of Economic Impact & Diversity\, U.S. Department of Energy \, as the keynote speaker at this year’s gala! Prior to her appointment\, she was a Professor of Law\, Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University. She was the co-founder and co-director of the Initiative for Energy Justice\, which provides technical law and policy support to communities on the front lines of climate change. Baker served as an Air Force officer prior to her honorable discharge pursuant to the then existing “Don’t Ask\, Don’t Tell” policy\, and became a vocal advocate for repeal of the policy. She earned a B.S. in Political Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy\, a J.D. from Northeastern University\, and L.L.M. from the University of Wisconsin. \nFor more info and to purchase tickets: click here.

DESCRIPTION:Michigan EIBC is thrilled to announce that Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II will be the keynote speaker for our 9th Annual Michigan Energy Innovators Gala.  We’re honored to have the Lieutenant Governor join us to celebrate the successes and vital work we do in the advanced energy industry. \nSeptember 14\, 2021 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm | The Eastern\, Detroit\, MI \nReserve your tickets here! \nWe are excited to host this years Gala in Detroit\, MI\, where we will celebrate the individuals and businesses who have worked to grow Michigan’s advanced energy sector in 2021 and provides us the opportunity to resume networking in-person with colleagues\, policymakers\, and industry experts who will be in attendance. \nPlease note that the health and safety of our staff and guests is of utmost importance to us. Attendees of Gala are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the start of the event. The CDC defines fully vaccinated as two weeks after receiving a second shot of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
