Community Solar Bills Introduced in Senate

Senators Jeff Irwin (D) and Ed McBroom (R) introduced a package of community solar bills earlier today. Senate Bill 518 allows community solar facilities to be established and Senate Bill 519 directs the Michigan Public Service Commission to create rules regulating them. The bills were cosponsored by Senators Sue Shink (D), Dayna Polehanki (D), Stephanie Chang (D), Rosemary Bayer (D), Mary Cavanagh (D), Kevin Daley (R), and Mallory McMorrow (D). Michigan EIBC supports the bills and will continue to advocate for them before lawmakers.
