Join MIEIBC on May 6, 2026, for the 14th Annual Michigan Energy Innovators Conference

Newsletter: New team member, Annual conference registration, and more

Welcome to the weekly newsletter of the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council (Michigan EIBC), the business voice for advanced energy in Michigan. Here’s what’s new this week:

Jared Deluccia Joins Michigan EIBC

Michigan EIBC is thrilled to welcome a new team member this week! Jared Deluccia will serve as a Regulatory Analyst, supporting Michigan EIBC’s advocacy before the Michigan Public Service Commission.

Jared previously worked as a United States Department of Energy Fellow first for the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) and most recently for the United States Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO). During his time at the Maryland PSC, he worked on the staff that advised the Commissioners on the various topics before the PSC, with a specific focus on clean energy issues. While at SETO, he worked on the Strategic Analysis and Institutional Support team, with a focus on reducing the soft costs of solar.

Two New Members Appointed to the Utility Consumer Participation Board

Last week, Governor Whitmer appointed Jonathan Hand and Jeremy Orr to the Utility Consumer Participation Board. Hand is the director of carbon removal at Carbon Solutions. Orr is the director of partnerships at Earthjustice and a professor of law at Michigan State University and Detroit Mercy Law School. Michigan EIBC applauds these two appointments and looks forward to their advocacy on behalf of residential utility customers.
